The rooftop tree planter consists of a large modular unit designed to encase and transport a fully mature tree and it's rootball. The design allows the unit to be transported safely onto
a rooftop and installed into the roof foundations themselves at a specific height, either fully submerged or exposed.

Size: Units are currently at 1m3, 2m3 or 3m3

Material: The unit is fabricated out of 6mm reinforced galvanized steel.

Weight:

• Standard 2m3 Unit
• Steel Planter - 1-2 Tonnes
• Compacted Soil - 16 Tonnes
• Tree - 1-2 Tonnes (Dependent On Size)
• Total Weight - 20 Tonnes Approx.

Mature Tree Size: With the standard 2m3 unit, the max planting tree size could be 4-6m with a max growth of up to 10m. If the unit's size is changed this would be proportionally
reflected in the max tree size also.

Mature Trees Available: Our Tree specialists would advise which tree species would be best suited and supply a tree that meets the individual needs of the client.

Transportation & Lifting: The Planter has a specifically designed, integrated lifting gear, which can be lifted by numerous cranes.

Fitting the Unit: The tree planter has been designed as a modular system. The architect would create a cavity in the roof top for which the tree planter would be installed. The system would attach to an internal collar frame that would be installed into the cavity
itself. The height of the planter can either be fully submerged or partially submerged, our fabricators can customise the planter to meet the depth that is desired.

Internal / External Anchorage System: The Planter has integrated internal and external anchorage systems, which help to support both the tree and rootball within the product, and the products itself against the collar within the build.

Custom Irrigation System: The Planter has an integrated Irrigation system.
