Within The Collective, we have visual and
multimedia specialists who can offer a very
high standard of interactive facilities. We
also have a Composer with a specialism in
sound installations who is interested in
sense-of-place and helping deepen people’s
connection with their surroundings, and
specifically their soundscape.
One example of his installation takes its
inspiration from the DNA and Amino Acid
sequences of the plants in a garden allowing
people to hear the life-processes of the
plants, as well as see and smell them. This
work was introduced in 2007 and due to its
enormous success at connecting the visiting
public to this particular site it has become
a permanent feature in this very special
way.
